4 cups whole wheat flour
2 Tablespoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
4 egg yolks
3 ½ cups milk (Substitute: 1 ¼ cups powdered milk & about 3 ¼ cups water)
1 cup oil or applesauce
4 egg whites
¼ cup water
Bowl #1: Sift dry ingredients.
Bowl #2: Combine yolks, milk & oil.
Bowl #3: Beat egg whites with water until stiff.
Stir dry ingredients into milk mixture. Fold in beaten egg whites. Cook 1 cup at a time in a waffle iron. Makes about 6 servings.
