4 beaten eggs
1 c milk
2 T sugar
2 t vanilla
½ t cinnamon
¼ t nutmeg
8 1/2” slices challah bread
Mix eggs, milk, sugar, and spices. Heat frying pan or griddle moderately hot. Grease with butter or bacon fat. Dip both sides into egg mixture and fry on the griddle. Brown on both sides, turning with pancake turner. Serve hot with syrup, honey or jelly.
