Peach Cobbler

  • Peel 4-6 cups of peaches.  Add 1/2 cup sugar and let sit while preparing pan and batter
  • Melt 1/2 cup butter in a 9 x 13 in glass baking pan in 350• oven for about 2 minutes
  • Mix together: 1 cup flour, 1/2 cup sugar, 4 tsp baking powder, 1/2 tsp salt, 3/4 cup milk
  • Remove pan from oven.
  • Pour batter on top of melted butter.
  • Place sliced peaches on top of batter.  Bake for about 40-50 minutes until brown.

Note:  this basic recipe can be used for other fruits as well.
